It should be mentioned on Groupon that this tour is ONLY offered on weekdays.

“NYC Walking Tour(Weekdays Only)”
Only the bus tour is offered on weekends, which does not seem to be covered by this Groupon.

Yikes, that’s a good point. But if you’re unemployed, and want a cheap date, this fits the bill!
Will the groupon be emailed to us or mailed? If we have an out of state billing address, will that be a problem?

Hi Viola,
Tomorrow morning you will receive an email with your receipt and instructions to print your Groupon. Alternatively, tomorrow morning you can print your Groupon by following these instructions:
Just go to http://thepoint.com/mygroupons and log in with the email address and the password you set when you made this purchase. If you need to reset your password, just go here: http://thepoint.com/users/forgot_password
Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help!

Thanks!

Hi Steven,
You are totally right, the Groupon covers the walking tours, not the bus tours. The walking tours actually run on Mon, Wed, Thurs, and Sat. You can also find this information by checking the available dates and times at http://www.zerve.com/PizzaTours/NYCWalk (but remember, you’ve already paid for the tour with your Groupon, you do not need to buy tickets on that page). Obviously the Saturday tours are probably the most popular, so I’d suggest planning as far ahead as possible.
Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help!

If we’re not reserving tickets through the zerve.com page, how do we reserve a spot for the tour? I’m not seeing how we can “plan ahead” for this.
I bought tix for myself and my parents who are visiting this weekend, and this groupon will literally only be useful for one or two days. If we can’t get the dates we need, can we get a refund?

Hi Kendall,
Once you’ve bought your Pizza Tour Groupon, you’ve essentially already paid for a tour, you just need to pick out which date and time you prefer and reserve a spot. That is why I wanted to be clear that you don’t want to pay again using the Pizza Tour website. I referenced that website so customers would be able to see the tour dates and times that are available. Your credit card will be charged tonight, and tomorrow morning you will receive an email prompting you to print your Groupon. You will find instructions on how to redeem your Groupon and reserve a spot on a tour (it will involve choosing your tour date and then emailing it with your unique Groupon ID number to Scott’s Pizza Tours).
When I suggested planning ahead, I meant it in the same way as you plan ahead and make a dinner reservation at a popular restaurant. You make the reservation as far in advance as possible to make sure you get the date and time you want.
One of the stipulations of this Groupon is that the preferred date and time of the tour is subject to availability, so we are unable to give refunds on that basis. You can also find this information in the “Fine Print” box at the upper right hand corner of the Groupon write-up. You are more than welcome to give your Pizza Tour Groupons away as gifts if it is something you no longer think you would like to take advantage of.
Please let me know if you have any more questions!

This would have been really good information to have BEFORE we bought tickets. Your “fine print” (which yes, I did see) was inadequate.

Hi Kendall,
I am very sorry if you found the information in the “Fine Print” box confusing or inadequate. We put the box in the upper right hand corner of the write-up in the hopes that our customers will see it before their purchase as they are reading about the Groupon.
The reason we put “preferred date and time subject to availability” in the “Fine Print” box is because there are a limited number of spots available per tour, so it is not possible for everyone who bought this Groupon (almost 300 Groupons have been bought as of right now) to go on the first Saturday after their purchase. That is the reason that the Groupon doesn’t expire until 11/21/2009, so our customers have plenty of time to find a date that is convenient for them.
If you would like to cancel your Groupons today before your credit card is charged at midnight, I would be more than happy to cancel them for you.
I am very sorry for your trouble.

Thanks for your reply. I do understand that there is limited availability for these things, and that it’s even more limited when you want to use your Groupon right away, especially for an upcoming holiday weekend, and especially when 300 have been sold.
The information that I would have found helpful prior to purchasing was the instructions on how we would redeem the coupon. (i.e. Your credit card will be charged tonight, and tomorrow morning you will receive an email prompting you to print your Groupon. You will find instructions on how to redeem your Groupon and reserve a spot on a tour (it will involve choosing your tour date and then emailing it with your unique Groupon ID number to Scott’s Pizza Tours).) Perhaps on future Groupons, this information could be clearly noted.
Thanks again for being responsive. I’m sure it will all work out.
