Questions and Answers
The fine print says that we have to have a consultation with the doc before the procedure. is that included in the price of the groupon? Also, I couldn’t find an expiration date…am I just missing it?
The groupon appears to be valid until 2/1/11. As I read it, the consultation is included in the price.

Hi Ashley and Jean,
Yes, the Groupon expires 2/1/2011 so you have one year to redeem and the consultation is included in the price. It is important to meet with Dr. Nachbar to make sure the procedure makes sense for you. If the procedure doesn’t make sense for you, Dr. Nachbar will refund the Groupon.

What the deal on this deal?
It says 150.00 for Juvederm.
Then it says the 150.00 Groupon PLUS 175.00 gets a full syringe of Juvederm.
?
It says “$150 for $300 worth of Juvederm” and Juvederm is usually $475. So in addition to the $150 you are paying for the Groupon, there will be a balance of $175 if you choose the Juvederm procedure.

Hi Laura,
Jessica is correct – if you would like to get Juvederm, it is an additional $175. If you are interested in Botox, there are no other out of pocket costs. The Groupon enables you to get 25 units.
Please let me know if you have any more questions!
Sincerely,

So that is essentially $6 per unit. As the going rate is between $6.50 and $8.00, that is not such a great savings. You guys seem to list the prices higher only to reduce them and make is seem like a great savings…Not impressed with this one.
Nobody that I am aware of is offering BOTOX for $6.50 to $8.00 per unit, and especially not by a plastic surgeon.
I am confused. So if I chose Juvederm, I pay $325 for $300 worth of Juvederm? I read first that I pay $150 for $300 worth of Juvederm, then I read if you choose Juvederm, you need to pay an additional $175. Please clear this up for me as I am contemplating purchasing it. Thanks.

Hi Sheryl R.,
The Groupon is $150 for $300 worth of either Botox or Juverderm treatments. If you chose Botox, you can receive the entire treatment of 25 units without paying anything additional. If you would like to do Juverderm, it is an additional $175. The overall value of the procedure is $475. Therefore, with the Groupon, you are saving $150. We wanted to give people both options.
Sincerely,
Suzanne

I agree with Dr. James opinion. I have NEVER seen Botox at $6.50 a unit, let alone that being the “going rate”. I have seen it at about $8.50, but that has usually been combined with the requirement to buy something else or for an unusually low amount of Botox.

I think this is a great deal! I bought one for myself and my mom! I’ve met Dr.James already and am very excited and confident, about having the injections done by him!
I’m sorry you felt confused, but the offer could not have been clearer, as you can see from this offer’s page (see the link at the top of this page): 25 units of BOTOX Cosmetic is included with the Groupon, which is an outstanding offer. I don’t understand how you could have thought that a different amount of BOTOX was included in the offer, since the offer is very clear.
If anyone wants to purchase additional BOTOX, we would make that available at the best price we offer anyone (but, obviously, not as good as the Groupon price)
The offer’s page also clearly states that “Changing your mind post-consultation will entitle you to a full refund on the price of your Groupon”, so that anyone who comes to their consultation but decides, after we meet, that they want a refund instead of the treatment, merely has to ask. I insisted on that language, because if someone doesn’t want me to do their treatment, I certainly don’t want to make them have it.
Frankly, I don’t know how we could be any fairer.

What a great price!
