$149 for Jetlev Flight Experience ($299.99 Value)

Seabreeze Water Sports’ certified flight instructors orchestrate Jetlev flight experiences, during which adventurers harness hydropower to soar high above Maunalua Bay. With free roundtrip transportation departing from most Waikiki-based hotels, Jetlev excursions begin with a 15-minute safety video and additional briefing on the procedures for takeoff, flight, steering, hovering, landing, and conversational bird chirps. Upon reaching the ocean launch point, pilots strap on a jetpack whose 33-foot hose pumps water from the ocean into the backpack, where a four-stroke engine directs it downward through nozzles that propel the pilot up to 30 feet in the air. The airborne adventure continues for approximately 15 minutes as instructors utilize the helmet’s built-in walkie-talkie to guide newbies through the piloting process.

First-time pilots will have their throttle controlled by the instructors via remote, enabling them to concentrate on stunning views of the Hawaii Kai coastlines and Ko'olau Mountain Range. To ensure riders don’t sully their favorite antique loincloths, Seabreeze encourages all participants to don swimsuits before taking a dip in the tropical water.

H2O Sports Hawaii

H2O Sports Hawaii's licensed adventure-seekers have been helping likeminded folks safely skim over the water's mirrored surface or dive deep below rolling waves since 1986. Their certified flight and scuba instructors dispense their knowledge as they prep guests for safe scuba diving and Jetlev jetpack flights, during which a jetpack propels guests up to 30 feet in the air using a high-powered pump that, like Poseidon's Harley, uses ocean water as fuel. They also outfit nautical voyagers with equipment and safety vests for jaunts on surfboards, parasails, jet skis, and high-speed tubes.

To further fulfill their mission of adventurous memory making, H2O's staff also runs their own digital media shop, where they snap photos of each watery experience using the media chips that accompany each guest. Their direct taxi service makes pesky logistics a breeze as their drivers shuttle guests between Waikiki hotels and picturesque shores.
