I also want to know if this can be used on the extreme ride.
Kids prices are $17.95 normally and that is for 3-12 year olds. So this is still a great deal for kids.
Can you buy as gift even though you don’t know who you will be giving it to yet?

Is this available for the architecture tour?
BEWARE!!! I bought this last year and they make you jump through hoops of fire to use them. You have to call them at least 24 hours in advance to make the reservation and even then they seemed to always come up with an excuse for why I could not use them for the day I wanted to. I ended up using them on a weekday I was off work because that was the only time they would take my groupon!

Sorry about the wrong photo up this morning!! This offer is only valid for the 30min Lakefront speedboat tour – not the Extreme or Architectural tours.
This can be used for kids, and this can be used on most weekends. Just be aware that the weekends are the busiest and since the boats are subject to availability, its a challenge to get everyone in the days they want (sorry Chris B).

The offer is not valid for holidays and specialty cruises. Weekends are fine unless there is a specialty cruise like a Fireworks cruise, for example.

Seadog is great for all ages. We do not recommend infants under 6 months. Children ages 3-12yrs. are $20.29 so the deal is still better.
@Andrew C and Linda– Sorry, you cannot upgrade to the 30-Minute Extreme Speedboat Tour. This is strictly for the 30-Minute Lakefront Ride. We sold out for the Extreme Ride on the last Groupon…sorry!

Or is it subject to normal paying customers and us with Groupons are based on availability for that specific day. Kind of like standby flights.

Elizabeth P. – You can buy and book as soon as you want! The sooner, the better :)
Mike R. – You will! Our Reservations Center will give you a confirmation number which you’ll simply present at the ticket booth for which ever date you decide upon. The only restrictions you’ll run into are on the dates that are listed clearly in the fine print (I promise!). Groupon customers, to us, are treated the same way as full paying on all other days. Therefore, it’s not like stand-by flights at all.

@Elizabeth P. – We require that reservation be made 48 hours before a cruise. We would probably be able to accomodate you for the Suday cruise.

@Helen/seadog – is this boat wheelchair accessible? Your website says it is wheelchair accessible, but does this mean a person using a wheelchair can board the boat and STAY IN THEIR W/CHAIR during the entire cruise? OR, is a w/c user required to transfer onto a boat seat?
Also, what is the maximum number of wheelchairs allowed on a single boat at one time?

Brian – Children under 3 are free, they receive a ticket (for a $0 value) and are asked to sit with the parent for the duration of the cruise.
So. - Our wheelchair standards are based on whether or not we’re talking about motarized or manual. Typical manual wheelchairs have accessibility to our boats for this product. Motarized wheelchairs usually don’t fit on our ramps. BUT – if the individual can walk (or at least transfer themselves to a manual wheelchair, which we try to provide), we can then get them on the boat that way. Does that clarify for you?

Is this valid for August 21st?? I know it says 8/19-20 so I just want to double check that we can use it that sunday. Also, what are the boarding times? (for Speedboat) Thanks!
In reading 43 reviews, there is a mix of comments ranging from being a “slow, boring ride for a 3-yr old where no one got wet” to “wow, we went fast and everyone got soaked”. I believe such comments were both found for the 30-min regular (not extreme) ride. How do they vary so greatly? Most people say that 30-min isn’t long enough, and of that 30-min, not enough of it is at high-speed. I know you have to please a wide range of riders, but please let me know if you’ve improved upon the speed portion, or in making the rides more consistent. My family would definitely want to remember it as an adventure.
Also, if we make a reservation and don’t want to go if the weather is bad, or if we want to change our day with plenty of notice, can you accommodate the change? Do you charge for the change? I’ve seen some stories……

Can someone from Groupon explain the question asked before about seats. The deal states “Not for all seats”. I checked the company’s website and didn’t see pricing by seats/sections/etc.

Made a reservation for cruise, cancelled due to fog. We went to reschedule the next day and they informed us that there was a $5 cancellation policy per Groupon should we have to reschedule due to rain again. They stated they would not know if cruise would be cancelled until 30 minutes prior to cruise. As customers who do not live near by, this is extremely inconvenient. We had friends in from out of town that also purchased the Groupon and coordinating/scheduling for this was unacceptable. I understand they can’t predict the weather, but forcing us to wait until 30 minutes prior the cruise to find out if it is on or not, is not right. Then to charge us each $5 to reschedule is a rip-off. *I do not suggest this cruise unless you LIVE at Navy Pier and can hop on their boat to use your Groupon at the drop of a dime.*
Is the deal for a sightseeing tour, or the Seadog Extreme tour? It’s confusing because the red, “Extreme” tour boat is shown in the picture, but the sightseeing tour is done with slower yellow boats…Thanks!
