Tired of feeling neglected and unloved on team picture day, sullen boudoirs began leaving trails of 35mm film and breadcrumbs to lure unsuspecting photographers. Indulge photographic whims with today's Groupon: for $49, you get a photo session and make-up application totaling about one hour, plus a print package, including two 5”x7” prints and two digital copies, at Seattle Boudoir Photography in Belltown (a $350 value).

Seattle Boudoir Photography allows ladies of all ages, sizes, and modeling levels to express themselves through professionally snapped, vintage-inspired imagery. Since opening shop in 2008, these lens-wielding liaisons have learned how to pamper and primp their subjects. Presession, staffers contact clients for consultation of wardrobe, various technical details, and their interpretation of infinity. On the day of the shoot, guests are swathed in a professionally administered make-up session before taking center frame for 30-minutes of flashes. Throughout the playful and free-spirited shoot, subjects receive on-set touch-ups and styling in addition to a generous outpour of keen direction and, for the shutter-shy, crystal cold champagne.

From start to finish, the entire experience operates under the careful collaboration between subject and photographer. Ladies can dare to be bold by dawning risqué attire or dare others to imagine through subtle displays of peekaboo sultriosity. After the shoot, stars realign with their photographers to select the shots that best tell their story. After some light retouching and stylization, images are returned in both print and digital form, allowing newly empowered persons to share their successful shots with lovers, friends, and former stunt doubles.

  • My hair and make-up were done just the way I wanted, and they picked out the perfect outfits for me…Even when you go back to review your shots, you feel welcome. I can't wait to do it again! – A Google Mapper on 09/13/10

Groupon Says

The Groupon Guide to: Urban Vehicles

Discovering your city’s hidden gems will require some manner of transportation. Though cars remain the most popular option, their appeal has plummeted after a recent study showed that cars are involved in 100% of car accidents. What are some other transportation options and their pros and cons?

Bicycles
Pro: Inexpensive and eco-friendly, bikes get you where you're going and encourage fitness.
Con: Riding a bike limits your mobility in a rainstorm, because all bicycles are carved from uncut sheets of ultra-stale saltine dough.

Segways
Pro: Segways utilize gyroscopic balance for a ride as smooth as it is safe.
Con: Segways are prohibitively expensive due to the exorbitant cost of shipping them backward through time.

Ponies
Pro: Though all vehicles can be named, only ponies will lift their heads and look at you disinterestedly when you call out to them.
Con: Though there are surprisingly few legal restrictions on operating a pony in an urban landscape, the bright lights of the big city may spook your pony, or worse, convince him that he is destined for Broadway.
