Choose from Four Options

Students work alongside a professional glass blower to learn the basic techniques of the trade, including forming and shaping glass with tools and adding colors. The class includes all materials needed to make the chosen project, which can be an ornament, sea float, bowl, or flower. Classes are available every day of the week between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m.

  • $75 for a four-hour group workshop for one (a $150 value)

In a group-oriented workshop, instructors provide an overview of glass-blowing techniques as they lead up to 25 students through the process of making two solid, colorful pumpkin paperweights. See the class page for available dates and times.

  • $85 for a Blow Your Own Glass Pumpkin experience (a $175 value)

This course is similar to the Blow Your Own Glass experience, but students make a 4- to 5-inch blown pumpkin. Classes are available every day of the week between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m.

At the personal behest of a glass-shaping tutor, single and paired students learn techniques to create a variety of objects, such as cups, bowls, and paperweights. Students can expect to make and form three to six pieces. Classes are available every day of the week between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m.

Seattle Glassblowing Studio & Gallery

The craft masters at Seattle Glassblowing Studio & Gallery guide pupils to artistic bliss by expounding on a spectrum of steps needed to create intricate pieces. Whether joining 10–25 fellow artisans in a group workshop or forming a clique in a one- to two-person private class, students turn provided materials into bowls, cups, and decorative piles of glass shards. Professional glass wielders safely impart etiquette and basic techniques such as gathering glass on a rod and shaping it into colorful geometric forms.

The shop's instructors also offer their own artistic services, including custom commissions such as functional lighting and installation pieces. Damaged glass heirlooms undergo repairs in the cold-working shop, where artisans restore shattered pieces and polish away dullness left behind by covetous pawing.

The Groupon Guide to: Writing a Country Song

Whether it's blasting out the open windows of a flatbed Ford truck or in the locker room of a professional basketball team, country music tells the stories that warm our hearts. Here are some ideas for the content of your next country tune:

  • Suggestions for how to be a stronger man—emotionally.

  • An old woman sits on her porch looking back at her life and realizes she didn't spend enough time eating hot dogs or drinking lemonade.

  • Driving an old car down a good road.

  • A young boy plans to wear the same large hat he remembers his father wearing as he walked out the door.

  • A young girl falls in love with the ghost of a soldier who is living in a tree in her front yard.

  • A man warns his daughter not to grow up at all, ever, seriously—I mean it.

What genre of music is best for imparting wisdom to your daughter?
