Certified Segway guides open 60-minute tours with up to 30 minutes of one-on-one Segway instruction. Once groups feel comfortable enough to ride, they hop aboard Segway x2s to explore trails around the shores of Lake Grapevine. The x2 model sports a wide base and large, deep-treaded tires ideal for off-roading. Guides provide historical narration about the area, as well as helmets and cold bottles of water for each guest.

Segway Grapevine

A native Fort Worthian with a degree in history, Segway Grapevine founder Daniel Dase Jr. has always loved sharing his state's cultural legacy—it's just exponentially more fun to do on a Segway x2, the most advanced model on the market. With help from the deep treads of the machine's tires, each Segway responds instantly to shifts in posture, moving organically and fluidly as groups ride on the forested trails that surround Lake Grapevine. Before riders get gliding, the company's licensed operators conduct one-on-one tutorials to set them at ease with their new moving platforms. And because Dase corrals a fleet of these durable off-road models, his tours go places other Segways can't, be it the unpaved trails along the shores of Lake Grapevine or the slippery slopes of the neighborhood gym's treadmills.

The Groupon Guide to: Where Babies Come From

Having “the talk” with your child can be awkward—especially if your child is still too young to understand the nuances of human reproduction or, worse, is a giggler. Postpone the difficult conversation a few more months with one of these classic explanations about where babies come from:

  • Babies are dropped down the chimney by storks who swoop down and steal them from other families.
  • Babies are hatched from the cabbage patch, so if you think about it, eating vegetables is essentially cannibalism.
  • Babies are assembled at the hospital and wrapped tightly in a blanket until all the glue is dry.
  • When a mommy and a daddy love each other very much, their psychic harmonics produce an cytoplasmic egg that must be kept in a dark closet for nine months.
  • Babies are an invention of the celebrity-obsessed media to sell magazine covers of pregnant starlets.

Is it time to tell your kids the truth about where babies come from? Learn how with today's Groupon Guide.
