$35 for Shape Magazine's Diva Dash Entry on Saturday, July 28 at Boulder Reservoir ($70 Value)

The Boulder Diva Dash stretches across a three-mile course at Boulder Reservoir, challenging women older than 12 with strength-, speed-, and agility-testing terrains and obstacles. The day before the race, ladies pick up their packets at the Millennium Hotel; click here for pickup times.

The race begins at 8:30 a.m., with 20 starting waves leaving every 15 minutes, and the after party lasts from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There, contestants enjoy music, sponsor prizes, dancing, drinks, and a swag bag that includes a cotton T-shirt, drawstring pack, and a participant photo. Contestants are also eligible to win a trip to Wyndham Rio Mar Beach Resort in Puerto Rico. This year's dash benefits three organizations, the Women's Wilderness Institute, Smart-Girl, and Delta Sigma Theta.

Urban Assault Ride

The Urban Assault Ride challenges cyclists to speed from obstacle course to obstacle course across their city during eco-friendly scavenger hunts that benefit local charities. Teams draft a road map to try to thwart the competition and be the first to complete the race, pausing at a series of checkpoints, where they must surmount such active roadblocks as slip 'n' slides, bike jousting, and reciting the Iliad in Pig Latin. The first team to conquer each challenge and cross the finish line is declared the victor, but all participants celebrate their efforts at a lively after-party stocked with snacks, beer, nonalcoholic drinks, and prizes.
