Aromatic candles and the salon's refreshing lack of mallard ducks set the stage for afternoons of restorative relaxation as customers settle into reclining shampoo chairs to submit strands to the massaging hands of one of the salon's aesthetic engineers. Shay's Studio utilizes Brocato, Alterna, Redken and AG products, including a sensational peppermint wash popular among male clients. Once heads have been thoroughly cleansed, services such as hair color or highlights can be added to give locks more dimension. Semiprivate studios shield noggins from prying eyes during cuts, which begin with style consultations to ensure snips meet clients' expectations. Skilled styling or keratin smoothing treatments create desired textures, and facial areas that instead require less hair coverage can undergo waxing.
