Horses require human guidance to keep from brushing against barbed wire, eating poisonous rocks, and galloping triumphantly into the ocean. Take the reins with this Groupon.

Choose from Three Options

  • $49 for 3 30-minute horseback-riding lessons (a $105 value)
  • $69 for 5 30-minute horseback-riding lessons (a $150 value)
  • $129 for 10 30-minute horseback-riding lessons (a $300 value)

Thirty-minute lessons begin as private, one-on-one sessions as riders acclimate themselves to the sport. As students progress, they move into small-group lessons to join other riders at a similar skill level; first-time riders may require 8–10 lessons before they're ready for group lessons. Showtime Saddlebreds and Academy

In his 25 years working with horses, trainer Greg Reason has assisted both world and national champions and their riders. At Showtime Saddlebreds and Academy, he and his staff harness this knowledge of top-level equestrianship to foster a love of riding in new students and help experienced riders continue to fine-tune their skills. Lessons for all ages begin with private, one-on-one instruction to ease new riders into the essentials of the sport, before small-group lessons propel them forward alongside riders of the same skill level. Young children may begin their training in double-saddle riding, during which an instructor joins them on the horse, and experienced equestrians can grandstand by riding two horses at once.
