Great Service
  • Pick between two resorts
  • Stunning scenery
  • Spas & prestigious golf courses
  • Multitude of outdoor pursuits

After navigating floating platform staircases, dodging living-room-level bosses, and searching for randomly appearing bathroom keys, most homeowners come to regret purchasing houses built by video-game designers. Today's Groupon offers respite from the chaos: for $109, you get a one-night stay from Nova Scotia Signature Resorts (up to a $249 value). Choose from locations in Keltic Lodge Resort and Spa in Ingonish Beach or Digby Pines Golf Resort and Spa in Digby

Nova Scotia Signature Resorts offers scenic digs in which to comfortably stew mind and body. The Keltic Lodge Resort and Spa in Ingonish affords guests a cliff-top view overlooking the Atlantic Ocean from Highland–themed cottages and elegant inn rooms. Its Aveda concept spa does for the body what readings of Hop on Pop do for the soul, and putters practice their craft on ScoreGolf Magazine's 2009 top public golf course in Atlantic Canada. Fresh air options such as whale-watching cruises, sea kayaking, or mountain biking persuade visitors that there's more to life and that indoor lighting is an oxymoron.

The Digby Pines Golf Resort and Spa in Digby has overlooked the scenic Bay of Fundy since developing eyesight in 1929. Unfurl tangled minds in the chateau's home-besting rooms that sport either queen- or twin-size beds before venturing to the resort's outdoor hiking trails, heated outdoor swimming pool (season permitting), or tennis courts. With its 18-hole Stanley Thompson golf course and Aveda concept spa, Digby Pines divines pleasing landscapes outdoors, on the surface of the skin, and in previously jaded brain wrinkles.

I wish that we were told activities to do. We go there and just walked to the beach and went to the bar and in the morning we researched ourselves and went for a hike and to a local cafe. It was great, but anything off the property was researched by oursleves.

The room was extremely outdated and the carpets were stained. Even with the Groupon it was still way too much to pay. The grounds were beautiful, as was the pub/common areas, but the rooms need a redo.

The girls behind the desk were second to none. The room service(food) left little to be desired. My wifes food was cold and mine was luke warm at best. We usually go to bed at a reasonable hour, but found it hard with the bass banging the floor. I can honestly say both my wife and myself were disappointed. I would have a hard time paying full price. On another trip to Cape Breton we stayed at places half the price and doulbe the value.
