The Cool-Sculpt system uses Cryo advanced cooling technology in order to induce gradual death in fat cells without affecting surrounding tissue. During sessions that last about an hour, a technician draws the affected area up between two cooling panels and then leaves the device to do its work. Over the following weeks, the dead cells are gradually flushed out by the body's immune system, so that the most dramatic results appear about two months after the treatment. Though the technology is noninvasive, some patients may experience redness, bruising, numbness, discomfort, or similar side effects.
