The first parachute was invented when Jack, tumbling haplessly from his titanium beanstalk, used a purloined pair of giant underpants to steady his fall. Glide to earth safely with this Groupon.

After 30 minutes of classroom instruction, a Cessna 182 aircraft elevates divers and their experienced instructors to a comfortable altitude above Moab's scenic terrain. Harnessed together, they jump from the aircraft, freefall for approximately 35 seconds, and make optional eagle cries. After the canopy opens, skydivers enjoy a seven-minute glide back to earth, taking in bird's-eye views of rivers and rock formations below.

Skydive Canyonlands

Even after more than 10,000 jumps, Skydive Canyonlands' owner and USPA-certified instructor Paul Gray enjoys every free fall. With a focus on safety, Paul and his team help introduce new people to the sport during tandem jumps, soaring high above the Moab area's breathtaking views. Reddish rock formations, the buttes of Arches National Park, and the giant water fountain at the head of the Colorado River come into view as instructors and pupils jump from a specially equipped Cessna 182 aircraft. While freefalling, Paul and his team can capture high-definition video for divers to show to their friends or use to impress pet birds.

The Groupon Guide to: Mysterious Found Objects

There are important cultural artifacts all around us—in garbage cans, the gutter, or hung mysteriously out of human reach over power lines. What is the secret significance of these urban anomalies?

Sneakers: This person most likely exploded.

One Sneaker: Oh man, this person definitely exploded.

Inside-Out Umbrella: Either this umbrella couldn't hold up to a gusty wind and proved to be more trouble than it was worth or its owner exploded.

Pile of Cigarette Ash: Or the remains of an exploded person—who can tell?

A Candy Wrapper: Obviously someone suddenly exploded, as no one would be thoughtless enough to just throw garbage on the ground. Search around nearby to see if you can also score a free umbrella or one sneaker.

How does one sneaker mysteriously end up in the street? The answer revealed.
