Questions and Answers

1. I am Asian and my face has tanned quite a bit from all the hiking I have done. Will this treatment help in diminishing my tan? 2. I am here for work and not really sure when my assignment will end. Is it acceptable to have one treatment every week? 3. What are your office hours? Thank you!

Yes, The Blue Peel Radiance is definitely safe for all skin types. It typically does help deminish hyperpigmentation (sun damage, brown spots, tan spots, etc...) because of the exfoliation process. The closest we could perform the treatments would be 2 weeks apart. Our office hours are Tuesday 9-6pm, Wed - Friday 9-5pm, and Saturday 9-4pm. Thank you!

For someone with Rosacea, which peel would you recommend?

Mary K. asked 9 months, 5 days, 22 hours, and 42 minutes ago - 1 answer

Erica M.

Hi Mary! For those with rosacea, your skin may be sensitive to the Salicylic Acid in the OBAGI Blue Peel Radiance. Because we want to be careful with your skin, I would not recommend applying the peel to areas of Dermatitis or inflammatory rosacea. You are always welcome to stop by for a complimentary consultation for one of our aetheticians to determine which peel may be best suited for your individual skin type.

Hello, I have acne scars. Would.you recommend this treatment or another option? Thanks!

Erica M.

Liz, Yes, doing a series of 4-6 peels can definitely help smooth texture and tone including acne scarring.

I am scheduled for a "4 layer" obagi blue peel....is that the same thing? How long does the blue remain on your skin, and how long does it take to stop peeling?

susan b. asked 9 months, 7 days, 12 hours, and 23 minutes ago - 1 answer

Erica M.

The Obagi Blue Peel Radiance is a clear salicylic-acid based peel performed in a 30 minute time frame. This peel is designed to treat uneven texture, tone, acne, and produce a youthful glow. You may experience a slight tingling sensation that lasts about 15 minutes. This peel is extremely tolerable and can be performed in a series of 4-6 treatments every 3-4 weeks. This peel is not to be confused with the Obagi Blue Peel.

I just had an extensive Obaji BLue Peel done in June. What is the time interval before this treatment could be done safely.

Sherri H. asked 9 months, 7 days, 19 hours, and 23 minutes ago - 1 answer

Erica M.

We will definitely go through a thorough consultation prior to perfoming the peel on you in order to determine the best time frame to start. But, I would anticipate you would be ok starting a series of the peels in 1-3 months. The peel treatments are performed every 3-4 weeks, and a series of 4-6 peels typically produces the best results.
