Its might not be the space needle or Columbia center but i think it is worth it…the elevators are all the originals made almost 100 years ago.and the view is pretty good…im going when the blue angels are out on Saturday!

My grandfather took my up in this building when I was four years old. It was then the tallest building in Seattle. I remember holding his hand on the ride up!

Is this a groupon for a pair of tickets, or can the tickets be redeemed separately?

I’m into photography, and rather than using the groupon to take someone else up with me, I’d like to use ot for two separate trips for myself.

Can that be done, or do both tickets have to be redeemed at the same time?

Marie K.

Hi Mari W.,

I am checking on this for you. Please stand by.

Cheers,
Marie @ Groupon

Hi – I just bought four of these and I was hoping to print them out and go today. When do you think I will be able to print them? Thank you.

susan r.

I also wanted to print them now and use mine today. I’m leaving the house in just a few minutes. Any solution???

Marie K.

Hi Jill F.,

Usually it’s only a couple hours, however, sometimes it can take up to 24 hours for the Groupon to process. Unfortunately, you might not be able to go today with the Groupon.

You will get an email confirming your purchase once it has processed. You can also go to “my stuff”, “my groupons” and look for this Groupon. As we know it can take up to 24 hours to process, we always set the expiration date for the day after the deal + year (assuming it’s 12 months).

Enjoy!

Hi Jill F. & susan r.,

I forgot to add that if you have the Groupon iPhone or Droid app, you can redeem your Groupon without having to print it out.

Enjoy!

Hi Mari W.,

Just heard back – both tickets have to be redeemed at the same time. One trip per Groupon. Bring a friend this time and maybe she’ll return the favor. :)

Enjoy!

Did you know there is a “wedding chair” up there? Supposedly if you sit in it and sincerely wish to be married, you will be within a year.

Mari W.

Thanks for finding out Marie, I appreciate it!! :)

David M.

Can you take a romantic picnic to the top or is food not allowed?

And will there be a Groupon app for Blackberries anytime soon?

Thx

Tarah W.

Yeah, I’d like to know too if you can take a romantic picnic to the top of the tower; I want to do this as a date with my husband.

John W.

Hi David and Tarah.

Unfortunately food is not allowed. Also, the blackberry app is in the works. In the meantime, here are the mobile apps we do have: http://www.groupon.com/mobile.

meeting family in Seattle soon. Hope this works out. I’m a little unsure of how the “gifting” of coupons works! There didn’t seem to be an option of e-mailing them to someone. Does this mean we can’t use them on the same day? I know, a little late to ask now!

David M.

Can you print as a PDF? Then you could email the tickets to your family…

David M.

Thanks John for the info. too bad about food… great for mobility!

(I loved the moto brick on the mobile ‘app’ page…)

Claudette H.

@Leslie, did you see the button to buy as a gift? Check that out.

Question: Can my purchase and gifts be used on separate days (I understand they come in pairs and the pairs must be used together)? I’ve seen groupons going either way so thought it would be better to ask than assume.

Great idea. I’ve volunteered in this building and didn’t know about the observation deck. Done the Needle and the Tower, this is special.

Marie K.

Hi Claudette H.,

Yes, your purchase and gifts be used on separate days.

Glad you are excited about this Groupon. That’s what we always like to hear!

Enjoy!

Hi Ann,

Yep, you are right. There is a “wedding chair” up there. If you sit in it and sincerely wish to be married, you will be within a year. That is how the legend goes.

Enjoy!

I saw comments about buying multiple tix and having to use at same time.

I’d like to buy 10+ and use throughout the year with family/friends visiting the area. How do I purchase to use on multilple days? Do you have to name gifts or are they in buyers name?

Thanks!

I’d like to buy

Claudette H.

@Marie – Thanks for the info.

@Todd, see the response I gave Leslie.

Todd S.

Thanks Claudette…new to Groupon and still a little confused about process.

Not sure if I was clear on my questions…if I buy 4 as my purchase, do they all have to be used on same day/visit?

If I buy as gift, do I need to purchase each one separately with specific guests name who will use or are they individual tix? If I buy 6 will they print as 6 generic guest tix, as group of 6 or with 6 individual guest names? Just not sure how strict rules are on use.

Thanks!

Claudette H.

@Todd – Reading comments here (esp from Groupson Staff) and more importantly The Deal FAQ are rather helpful. Have fun. FYI The Smith Tower used to be Seattle’s tallest building, until the Space Needle, I believe. Lots of history there.

Marie K.

Good Morning Todd,

Hopefully I can help you here. Each Groupon user is limited to purchasing 1 for themselves. You can buy as many as you wish to give for a friend. When doing so, you will enter their name (this will show up on the Groupon) and whether you wish to email it to them or print out for them. Each Groupon has a name and unique Groupon code.

Regarding redemption, you do not have to use all the Groupons on the same day. However, as addressed earlier in the discussion board, you cannot split up the 2 tickets that are part of the 1 Groupon.

Enjoy!

Nancy

obviously a newbie…when I clicked on this “deal” the price was $14 for 2 not $7. what am I doing wrong or will the proce be adjusted? thanks

Elaine M.

This used to be the TALLEST BUILDING West of the Mississippi!

john b.

brought to you buy the people who made the typewriter… Smith Corona.

Marie K.

Hi Nancy,

Unless you are purchasing 2, your price should show up as $7. If you continue to have issues, go ahead and purchase the Groupon. Tomorrow, please contact Groupon at support@groupon.com or call 1 (877) 788-7858 (during normal business hours, central time).

Enjoy!

Used ours this last weekend with some friends from Las Vegas. Was a fun experience and so glad I made the purchase. Without seeing this on Groupon we would have never known about – we are also new to the area. And what an affordable way to show the sites and share with our friends. THANKS!!!!

Marie K.

Hi Gail,

Thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed this Groupon!

Cheers,
