The Issue: Lack of Resources for Holiday Meals
Every year, Smyrna High FCCLA provides Thanksgiving dinners to students from low-income families. This year, the organization has identified 16 students, who come from families with 2–12 members, as in need of aid over the holidays.
The Campaign: Distributing Boxed Thanksgiving Dinners
If 48 people donate $10, then Smyrna High FCCLA can distribute boxed Thanksgiving dinners to 16 low-income Smyrna High School students and their families, serving a total of about 100 people. The boxed dinners help families celebrate the holiday with a warm, healthful meal. Each additional $10 raised will go toward providing gifts to these families during the holiday gift drive.
