Photographs capture memorable images, such as a child's heartwarming smile or an adult's heartwarming, contorted expression of anguish. Make a moment last forever with this Groupon.
Choose Between Two Options
- $44 for a three-hour Basics of Digital Photography workshop in Charleston (a $97 value)
- $64 for the three-hour Basics of Digital Photography workshop with a separate two-hour Getting to Know Your Digital SLR class held on the same day or at a later date (a $144 value)
In digital-photography workshops, students learn to manipulate their shutter speed and aperture to compose artful shots that depart from their cameras' factory settings. DSLR sessions, meanwhile, cover basic camera functions and menu navigation, and include photo-equipment recommendations. See more class details and class times. Customers may take both workshops on the same day, or take workshops on separate days.
Southeast Photo Adventures
Although instructors Travis Clark and Jon Gillespie lead Southeast Photo Adventures's workshops and excursions, they share the teaching load with the shores of Tybee Island and the depths of Cloudland Canyon. Students shoot shoulder-to-shoulder with instructors amid these sprawls of striking Southeastern scenery, whether they're enrolled in 2.5-hour workshops, Foto Field Trips open to workshop grads, or weekend-long adventures. The field-trip-style outings are open to all skill levels, but beginners can also enhance their expertise in introductory courses on Photoshop, digital photography, and DSLR cameras' complex settings, which control everything from shutter speed to the tiny red light bulb behind each of our eyes.

“ Really a great course. The instructor was informative and engaging, but also took care to move the material at a healthy pace. I came away knowing more than I did going in, and with a big desire to learn more!.”
