Questions and Answers

I have VHS-c tapes I would like to have converted into DVD's. That means that you will take the tapes and put the info on there onto a DVD that we can then watch on TV or computer. I know it sounds like a stupid question, but I just want to confirm that is what I am getting. I have 10 VHS-c tapes and 4 regular VHS tapes. How many VHS tapes can I convert with the second offer of $250 worth of services? It lonly lists how many it converts with the $100 offer. Thanks, Kathy

I have 28 VHS tapes to transfer to DVDs. I am trying to figure out how many vouchers to buy. Can you help me? OPTION A) If I do "Experience" DVD +Data then it is 28 x $19.94 =558.60 + $9.95 shipping. OPTION B) If I do "data" only then its 28 * $15.95 = $446.60 + $9.95 shipping. I see it says there can be 3 vouchers per household .So before I purchase, for option A) can I use 3 vouchers (Two $75 for $250+one $35 for $100) or for option B) can I use two $75 for $250 vouchers?

Hey Ryan, you can purchase up to 3 of the $100 vouchers or the $250. It is up to you how you would like those memories preserved. Thanks!

Do you check each tape submitted to be certain that if we skipped a section and there is something on the beginning and then nothing until near the end, that you have captured everything for the transfer? I forget on some and have no way to double check. Thanks!

Southtree- Amanda

Hey Jane, we transfer each tape in its entirety so we will not miss a section!

Can you convery 35mm slides into a CD/CDR and how much would that be? I have many boxes of slides that I would love to convert, but am afraid the price would be prohibitive

LOIS S. asked 6 months, 24 days, 17 hours, and 23 minutes ago - 1 answer

Southtree- Amanda

Hey Lois, good news! It is just .59 cents per slide to convert to a digital file that is placed on a DVD. For the $250 Groupon voucher you could convert around 423 slides. Thanks!

So it cost $8.95 per VHS or mine cassette tape transfer to DVD? What if the VHS or mini Cassette is only 25% full. Do you pay per DVD that the company fills for you or per how many VHS and mini cassettes that we would submit for transfer? Are there any hidden or extra fees?

Robert H. asked 6 months, 24 days, 22 hours, and 15 minutes ago - 1 answer

Southtree- Amanda

Hey Robert, great question! Yes, the price is per tape regardless of the length of footage. There are no hidden fees. The only thing you would pay besides our services is the flat rate shipping fee of $9.95. Thanks!

I have a home video on BETA tape from 1985 that was recorded in Spain. I know Europe has a different recording format. Can you tranfer that to digital?

Mary A. asked 6 months, 25 days, 15 hours, and 46 minutes ago - 1 answer

Southtree 1.

Hi Mary! Thanks for your question. We are able to convert almost all formats (VHS, VHS-c, 8mm, MiniDV) tapes to NTSC from PAL (European format). However, at this time we do not support the PAL Beta format.

Can you convert foriegn PAL (UK) video cassettes to digital format?

Mark C. asked 6 months, 25 days, 10 hours, and 59 seconds ago - 1 answer

Hi Mark! We are able to convert PAL tapes to MPEG-4 digital movie files or DVD. The standard conversion fee applies, and then there is an additional $9.95 fee per tape for the PAL conversion. Thanks!

1. Once digitized can I edit? If yes do I need special software? 2. Are these sent out of the US? 3. What is turnaround time?

James V. asked 6 months, 25 days, 18 hours, and 34 minutes ago - 1 answer

Southtree- Amanda

Hello James! Yes, with the Data DVD you should be able to edit. They work in many programs like iMovie or Google Picasa. No, we do not send your items out of the US. We process everything here in Chattanooga, TN. We estimate around 5 weeks for processing. Thanks!
