Can you redeem the groupon for the first visit by the expiration date of 2/9/2010, and have six weeks from that point to use all 14 visits, or must all 14 visits be completed by 2/9/2010?

Lisa L.

Are classes included in the day passes?

Jan B.

can I buy it (my name would be on it) but give it to one of my kids?

When does the 14 day pass start? Do I have to use the pass in 14 consecutive days?

RoxStar .

Once you have made your first visit – do you have to continue your remaining visits with the same location?

Can it be given as a gift?

Are the passes transferable? Can I bring a guest during a visit (i.e. redeeming 2 visits at once?)

Chris from Groupon .

Cuong – you just need to redeem the Groupon by the expiration date. The 14 visits can be used within 6 weeks after that.

Lisa, Jan – I’ll call Spectrum and get back to you on your questions asap.

Ryan – the 14 days do not have to be consecutive.

Rox – you can visit multiple locations, no problem. Let me ask about the other questions…

A friend and I would love to buy this offer but we want to make sure that classes are included in the deal. Chris please get back to us soon with that answer. Thanks

J S.

Does “Limit 1 per person” mean more than one person cannot use one set of passes? E.g., I use 10 passes and my friend uses 4 passes? Thx.

RoxStar .

JS, good question similar to mine.

I’m assuming “Limit 1” means that one person can’t buy 4 of the deal and use them consecutively for them-self (i.e. basically buying yourself 56 visits under this price). But it’s another good question for Chris!

I’m interested in finding out if the classes are included too…

Lindsey J.

At some gyms when you use passes, they make you take a tour and then bug you about signing up. Is that going to happen with these?

Tiffany K.

I think that’s the point!

Not that they want to “bug” you (though understood gym sales can be aggressive) – but certainly they want to promote their club by offering this special – and by promoting they hope to gain new clients. Part of that (and probably required for liability purposes to exercise there) is a tour of the amenities – along with comes their promotion of and features of their clubs. And it is probably their job to follow up and encourage new memberships, surely — and you, after all would be taking advantage of their special offer and facilities without any commitments.

I’ve had this with other gyms in the past and it can seem “annoying” from one perspective – but you can also sternly say “no” and ask to discontinue contact if you are not interested.

Chris from Groupon .

Lisa, Jcious, Becca – good news, the classes are included! woot

Jan – Yes, you can purchase in your name and give it away as a gift. But who ever activates the first visit (hands in the Groupon at Spectrum) has to use the 14 passes.

RoxStar, JS – turns out you cannot transfer or split up the passes. All 14 passes need to be used by the same person.

Lindsey – you might be asked to sign up, but you will not be bugged.

Keith J.

RoxStar asked this earlier… is one able to buy 2 packages and the same person use both of the packages? In essence getting 28 day passes to use before the expiration of the promotion.

Yipee WE ARE BUYING IT. woot woot

emely c.

got it !! pilates here we come!!

Staci S.

Hey Chris – sorry for the repeated questions but when looking at the Gyms themselves, it says something the the effect that Pilates Reformer classes are separate for regular paid membership. I am wondering if then those classes are usable with our groupon?

Mahira A.

so it expires sep 2010 or feb 2010 ?

Chris from Groupon .

Keith – limit 1 per person

Staci – those classes are paid classes for everyone. Members and Groupies.

Mahira – the Groupon expires 02/09/2010, so go into Spectrum by then. Once in, you have 6 weeks to use the visits.

Can I attend two classes in one day at two different facilities (on one day pass)??

bleh :(
i have to wait another 2 days for a new (better) deal :(
i hate these gym deals… lol

Mahira A.

so it ends Feb 2010 or Sep 2010 ? jus makin sure

Keith J.

It is February… in the US the month is always first.

Will they ask for / require a credit card ? (assuming we are not purchasing any other product or service during the visit)

Are there any other charges for misc. things, such as “towel fees” ? (It happens…)
