During a reiki massage, a reiki practitioner uses hands-on techniques to treat issues such as severe anxiety, depression, chronic pain or fatigue, and mental confusion. Spirit Sense

Since 1999, reiki master and Spirit Sense founder Nicole Newsom has studied under many healers and spiritual leaders in a journey that has taken her as far as Costa Rica, Maui, and Montana. She has learned how to not only ease aches and pains, but also how to soothe emotional stress and detoxify bodies with noninvasive treatments. Her eclectic experiences are reflected in her resumé, which boasts her status as a licensed massage therapist, a certified lypossage practitioner, a lomilomi bodyworker, a massage instructor, and a nondenominational minister.

Today, Ms. Newsom helps Spirit Sense’s students hone their abilities in holistic healing therapies. At her studio, she works with a team of six healers, leading classes and offering services in reiki, aromatherapy, and traditional massage. Their drug-free healing techniques aim to boost immune function, decrease stress levels, and reduce recovery time for medical conditions, and they include specialty massages for athletes and expecting mothers.
