Ah – no, the Groupon doesn’t cover tax or tip.
what happens if your total bill is less than $75? do you get credit for next visit? reimbursement? or do you need to “spend” at least $75 to qualify at all?

As someone who has frequented Spring often, if you have 2+ people, you should have no problem clearing $75. Especially if you have an appetizer or some wine/booze, you will be well over. This is the best deal I have seen on Groupon considering the quality of the restaurant, however I have only been following this website for about a month.

I have been to nearly every 4 and 5 star place in the city and Spring is by far one of my top picks. Great deal!

OK, So I just joined and just made my first purchase. Yikes! I hope this works . . . I still do not quite understand the logistsics. We go, order what we want, bill comes to $100, put down coupon and pay $25 with credit card? Sorry, not normally this slow on the up-take, it’s late and I have baby-brain.
With this many deals how difficult will it be to get a reservation? Are there restrictions on what days the coupon is able to be used?
Did anyone get their groupon yet though email? I keep checking and mine hasnt arrived yet. Reservations can be made easily through opentable.com
I just recently moved and forgot to change the billing address for my card on this website, which means that the purchase of this groupon failed. I got an email at 7:30 this morning saying that I can still get the groupon if I update that, which I did. I have still not gotten a confirmation that the purchase went thru or a printable version of the coupon. Help! I don’t want to miss this deal! Did I make it in time?

This is probably a silly question, but thought I’d make sure….the offer expires on 2/13/10, so I assume I can use it on 2/13. Is that correct? I know I have to confirm reservations with the restaurant, but wanted to verify the terms of the deal first.

This groupon is showing as “order being processed” under my account. I never purchased this Groupon. I don’t even remember ever having seen it before. What’s the deal? Is someone hacking into my Groupon account and making purchases without my consent, or is this a technical error??? PLEASE let me know ASAP so that I can take care of this. I am very uncomfortable with the idea that my card is being charged for this without my consent.

I emailed support@groupon.com yesterday, and still no answer. If possible, I would REALLY prefer if my card wasn’t charged for this ESPECIALLY since I did not order it. I have ordered well over 30 Groupons, and have never had any major issues, but it really bothers me that someone, somewhere ordered something on my “secure” card from this site. Please get back to me ASAP.

I was unable to find an outstanding email from you—I hope someone got back to you about this already. It seems there was an error that marked some old deals as “unresigned” for people who had signed up for them and then canceled before being charged. I don’t know if that is what happened in this case, but that could explain it. You were not charged for this, since this account has been closed for some time, but I completely understand why this would be disconcerting.
We corrected this glitch and you should no longer see this in your account.

Hi Joe- The notice has since disappeared. I very much appreciate your explaining the situation to me. I have never had a problem with Groupon, and don’t expect to in the future. That is why I was so surprised, but I believe that you’re right about the issue, and that I may have retracted my purchse at some point.

What is Groupon’s policy when the restaurant is unable to offer services as stated in the Groupon?

If you’re having any trouble using your Groupon just contact us a support@groupon.com and let us know what’s going on and we’ll try to help work something out.
Spring has zero reservations available this entire week- their voicemail specifically says it. I emailed the support email and hope to find a resolution since I can’t use my Groupon.
I had the same problem…no reservations available actually since 3 weeks ago when I checked and called!!! I also emailed support to find a resolution.
Technically, a groupon is actually a “gift certificate” rather than a “coupon”. If you never went to the restaurant, you never actually received goods/services for the money you paid. And gift certificates cannot have expiration dates less than 5 years in the State of Illinois. Perhaps Groupon can help those of us who can’t get a reservation reach a resolution…
I am interested to hear Groupon’s input regarding the last comment (“gift certificates cannot have expiration dates less than five years”).
