Does this visit require me to become a patient of Des Peres Dentistry? Will this proceedure affect or loosen my crowns? Are there any side effects that I should be aware of? How long will the whitening last?

Kent, It depends on how you define 'patient'. You do not ever have to come back and see us again after your whitening, but while you are here we are going to treat you as well as we do any of our full-time patients. The procedure will not affect your crowns, but be aware the crowns will not whiten at all. Mild short-lasting sensitivity is the most common side-effect. The results duration will depend on your habits. Although in most cases the teeth never go back to their pre-treatment color, if you are chugging a bottle of red wine or gallon of coffee a day the results will not last as long as on someone who does not do those things.
