Choose from Three Options
- $75 for a 5-hour Taylors Falls standup-paddleboard tour with a wine tasting (a $150 value)
- $47 for a 2.5-hour sunset Minneapolis or St. Paul standup-paddleboard tour (a $95 value)
- $39 for a 1.5-hour University of Minnesota Gorge standup-paddleboard mini tour (a $78 value)
Following a brief orientation and river-safety lesson, certified guides lead paddlers down seven miles of the winding St. Croix River to Taylors Falls. This tour concludes with a shower underneath a natural waterfall and a wine tasting at St. Croix Vineyard. Alternatively, when the sun sets, paddlers glide down a calm urban river stretch running beside St. Paul's or Minneapolis's tree-lined banks and historic buildings. On the miniature tour, the guides lead participants along the greenery-fringed gorge that runs through the University of Minnesota campus. Every trip includes a standup paddleboard, paddle, and personal flotation device.
The paddleboard-and-wine-tasting tour is only available August 9–11 or September 13–15. This tour includes 3 to 3.5 hours of standup paddleboarding.
Stand Up MN
Though they've only been leading paddling tours for a few years, the certified guides of Stand Up MN have already helped thousands of people explore the Twin Cities' local waterways up close. After equipping their guests with standup paddleboards, personal flotation devices, and ample training, they embark on trips along the quiet stretch of the Mississippi River that cuts through their urban landscape.
From St. Paul, groups glide under bridges and pass idyllic natural areas—and from Minneapolis, they can take a break from paddling to high-five low-flying birds from a rope swing over the water. Stand Up MN also leads extended paddling tours to Taylors Falls, where state parks and tumbling waterfalls abound. These excursions are complemented by the company's special events, which include speed-dating events at which participants spend most of the time hanging out while paddleboarding.
