Why is it necessary to have 2 keys?

HI Andrew, One of the keys is used as the integration with the bypass inside the car. You lose that key. If you want to keep both the keys you have to go the advanced integration way.

Hi Meredith, Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Your S420 is a complicated car and we had to research it.. Your 2005 VW Beetle will need an advanced bypass - it will cost you $75. You have to bring the Benz in for a quote. Thanks for looking

You answered my question, but asked another question. My 2004 Mazda Tribute is a key start. I have two keys, but it is not a push button start engine. The regular bypass and everything in the $150 deal will work for mine then? Thanks so much!
