Questions and Answers

I haven't purchased my camera yet. Not sure which one to get. Is a camera a requirement for taking this class?

ash asked 9 months, 11 days, 21 hours, and 14 minutes ago - 1 answer

Brian S.

You would get the most out of class with a camera yes. However if you purchase the class you have a believe a year before the Groupon expires that would allow you time to purchase the camera then take the class.

My husband and I have a new camera but it is not a DSLR. Because this class is for the DSLR Cameras, do you think we can still learn basic concepts to that will be useful for us with the camera that we have. We have Canon g1x. and have been wanting to take a class so that we can learn some basic photography concepts. So wanting to know if attending this class that is being offered in this groupon will make sense for us?

Raquel L. asked 9 months, 12 days, 11 hours, and 30 minutes ago - 1 answer

Brian S.

Raquel this class actually is for both DSLR and standard point and shoot cameras. We would love to have you join us you will be surprised at what features they put in smaller cameras now its amazing. We have people attend with DSLR and smaller so yes you would benefit.

We conduct the classes every week weather permitting and as long as the minimum number of students are met. Typically most classes are every Saturday, Sunday, Monday and we add additional days during the week as needed .

I am looking for a class that teaches me how to use the settings beyond the auto and preset features and other types of lenses. I think my composition is good, but want to go further. Is this too beginner for me?

Sandy W. asked 9 months, 14 days, 7 hours, and 27 minutes ago - 1 answer

Brian S.

This would be a perfect fit for you Sandy. Although we cover a few preset setting the majority of the class we spend discussing and practicing depth of field . A few things we cover are Aperture, ISO, White Balance, Shutter Speed, we teach how to shoot effectively in Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority . So pack this class with tons of information in the three hours.

Carolyn yes no need for a fancy camera we have people that take the class with point and shoot cameras and larger DSLRS. The lesson is designed for both types.
