$7 for One Candy-Assortment Tube ($14 Value)

Customers can fill up large tubes with treats from the shop’s selection of bulk candy, customizing their own favorite mixes from 200 jars of jelly beans, toffee pistachios, gumballs, and chocolate-covered pretzels.

Sugar Shop

Stepping into Sugar Shop is like stepping into a child’s dream. The classic white décor makes the colorful candy pop, enticing customers to sample treats from the shop’s numerous glass tubes, jars, and buckets. Next to jars of Jelly Bellys and bulk candy in 200 chocolaty, sour, and sweet varieties, the sweet shop’s tables feature displays of gift boxes and assortments of classic American candies such as mallo cups and saltwater taffy. To create these mouthwatering displays, shop owners Sara Houchins and Jennifer Bischoff attempt to conjure memories and create new ones. Sarah combines her favorite sweets with nostalgic candies of her youth, a time when she was lucky enough to have a grandmother who was an adept confectioner and a grandfather with an account at the local sweet shop. The resulting eclectic inventory is cleverly broken down by category through Jennifer's store’s design, which separates the walls of gumballs from the scoops of chocolate-covered pistachios and candy from Brooklyn sweets companies. Customers can wrap up single pieces of their favorite candies for a small treat or opt for one of the house’s signature candy tubes, which they can fill to the top for a set price. Parents can also make their kids' dreams come true—without having to take care of a pet dinosaur for 35 years—by hosting a birthday in the shop’s party room.

The Groupon Guide to: Microwave Shortcuts

Though microwaves come with several preset shortcut keys, such as Popcorn and Full Turkey, the average consumer openly demands hundreds more. Here are some shortcut settings that will be on all future microwaves if we all work together:

  • Bag of peanuts
  • Box of donuts
  • Bunch of bananas
  • Piece of trout
  • Re-reheat
  • Left out meat
  • Cold trinkets
  • Wet pottery
  • Auto pizza
  • 60 seconds of warmish air
  • Photos of ex-girlfriend
  • Socks

Why are hot bananas so delicious?
