Choose Between Two Options

Visitors descend upon the mountain town of Jasper, where they board a small bus and head into the Canadian Rockies. From here, they hop out intermittently to snap pictures of sheep, moose, and foxes in their natural habitat. Tours last 3–3.5 hours and depart at 5:30 p.m. Walking shoes are recommended.

SunDog Tours

Though city tours afford visitors awe-inspiring glimpses of architectural landmarks, SunDog Tours whisks participants off to nature’s skyscrapers—the Canadian Rockies. Against a backdrop of jagged, snow-capped mountains, visitors explore the photogenic and stunning region and learn about the original habitants during tours of the Miette hot springs, the Columbia ice fields, and the Maligne Valley, as well as wildlife discovery tours and half-day rail tours.

During the winter, they crunch frozen water beneath their feet on snowshoe tours or snuggle up in a warm cocoon of blankets on dogsledding adventures. These tours also give participants the opportunity to drive their own team of Alaskan sled dogs up a snow-covered mountain valley, the cries of “Mush! Mush!” echoing across the vast landscape.
