Passengers and crew members soar above the Adirondacks and Lake George during an excursion through the sky in the open-air cockpit of an inflatable air vessel. After watching the multicolored balloon blossom, the sky-bound pair and trained pilot climb aboard and embark on a 40- to 60-minute adventure that brings the clouds close enough to be used as Q-tips. During the flight, scenery chewers can spy the sweeping landscapes of Warren, Washington, and Saratoga Counties and trace the rolling hills of Vermont. Once back on terra firma, the passengers imbibe food and champagne during a celebratory picnic. The number of passengers will vary depending on the balloon, with a weight limit of either 1,660 or 2,450 pounds. When customers call to schedule, they may wish to specify a backup date in case of inclement weather.

Owner and pilot Todd J. Monahan remembers chasing hot air balloons across the sky as a land-locked child. After attending extensive training and FAA-approved safety seminars, he finally caught up to them, founding SunKiss Ballooning and enlisting the expertise of his brother Scott as well as a cast of experienced pilots and crewmembers. Citing safety as a priority, SunKiss' captains stay up to date on the latest in balloon technology, and they escort passengers through the sky in two vessels each rated to carry different gross weights and repel different-sized Mothras.
