without the website, how r we supposed to see the menu for pick up? i tried to check the menu for September as i will be in town for a wedding, but the calendar would not allow me to click that far, is it because the menu has not been made?

I really want to buy this groupon, but I am wondering about why the website won’t be live after July 31st as well. Is the place going out of business? Also, I am confused about the “three regular meals”… can I just spend up to $54 of product/food? or pay the difference if I get more… we have a family of 5. I wish someone from Super Suppers would reply…

Hi all,
This is Linda from Super Suppers. I assure you we are not going out of business on July 31st. We’re in the process of changing our name and migrating to a new website. We’ll let you all know the new address which will have the menu available as soon as we’re done with all the testing.
The groupon is valid for entrees only and must be used in one visit. The menu for September for will be available in mid August because we are currently planning the September menu. However, there are many customer favorites that are always available so if you look at the current month’s menu and see something you like, you can always order it in September. If it’s not on the menu, we will custom make it for you at no charge.

Most of our families that need to feed 5 will just buy 2 regular size entrees. Our portion sizes are the correct portion sizes so if you have any big eaters in your crew, they may eat more than one serving.

Hope this answers all your questions.

FYI, the Parmesan Chicken with Creamy Sage Sauce has been the #1 seller every month since we opened and the Pecan Mozzarella Chicken with Basil Pesto is to die for!

We are in the process of putting up a website that will allow you to order EVERYTHING we carry, not just food. We carry gifts and gourmet foods as well. We are adding a 30 item salad bar after August 30. Great things are coming and we need a website that will grow with us. The new website is www.thesouthbaygourmet.com.

Yes, you need to get all three meals at once. The regular size has 3-4 servings (3 fillets or chicken breasts and a casserole/soup feeds 4).

Thanks so much for clarifying… I will definately take advantage of the groupon and try out Super Suppers… I have not heard of you before, but I am soooo glad that I know about you now… especially since we are always buying/delivering “Mama Meals” for families who are bringing home newborns from the hospital… your place is perfect for that! Katrina – yes three regular size entrees (regular size has 3-4 servings). Our meals are great for expecting and new moms. Ready to cook, easy directions and you can keep them in the freezer for after the baby arrives. No special meal plan, but plenty to choose from.

Linda K – The meals are ready to cook. You do not need to assemble them. If you go to our website, click “calendar” and you can see the pick up dates, clicking a date will take you to the menu.

I noticed that another location offered tastings, just wondering if the Hawthorne location ever does that-

In the copy it says “This Groupon is valid for pick-up and cook-in at the Super Suppers in Hawthorne” but in the Fine Print section it says “Valid for pick-up only.” So which is it? Can this be used fro cook-in?

Are the meals hot and ready to serve when we pick up or we have to reheat them at home? Or we have options to choose weither pick up as cold or hot?

Roy N. – If you would like to come and prepare meals, you may do that instead. Meals for pick up are a better deal for you. We have the July menu up through this Saturday and will have the August menu ready to prepare as of Tuesday, August 3rd. Two people can prepare meals at the same time. Just to clarify, you prep the meals here and cook them at home.

If I might suggest: you want to make it as easy as possible to find your location. Perhaps if you were to add on your directions page “North of the Costco plaza, next door to Kinko’s and one quarter mile east of the 405 Rosecrans exit” people would say “Hey, I know right where that is!” (Fine tune directions as necessary as I haven’t been over that way in awhile.)

You might also have picked up a number of advanced holiday purchases if the time limit was six months instead of three. But perhaps you anticipate another Groupon after you finish your new website.

I live right around the corner, walk to Kinkos next door regularly…have always been interested in trying you guys out. For a single mother of two it sounds perfect…now with Groupon I’ll be able to do a test run with finicky pre-teens! Looking forward to it! The idea of NOT having to cook…that’s almost as good as a deal on a massage :)

5 Sep 10:30 AM – Just called the Hawthorne phone number – the message states it is now called South Bay Gourmet, formerly Super Suppers. I left a message and asked if they would honor the Groupon. I am awaiting a reply BUT I can’t find a Website for them so I don’t know how they would handle the orders or how we can review their menu.
