Grab a mouthful of inventive, meat-free cuisine with today's side deal: for $15, you get $35 worth of fresh vegetarian fare at Sutra.
Sutra serves up a daily-changing menu of meat-free meals in its brightly colored Wallingford eatery Wednesday through Sunday. The supper-club-style service offers one seating time (7 p.m.) on Wednesday and Thursday, two (6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.) on Friday and Saturday, and one 6:30 p.m. seating on Sunday. Typically, Sutra features a four-course prix fixe meal with artsy arrangements of the best ingredients per course ($35). The restaurant is closed Monday and Tuesday.
One recent menu featured an opener of zucchini, nigella, and mung bean pancake—served with a cherry tomato, red shiso, and urfa biber confit—followed by a second course of a house-smoked chanterelle and butter lettuce salad drizzled with yuzu lemon basil tahini and sprinkled with crunchy candied sunflower seeds. Beluga lentil curry is a typical main course at the eatery, while sweet meal-ending treats—such as a berry torte topped with lavender, cacao, and coconut whipped cream—complete the animal-absent feast. Call ahead to make a reservation.

- Usually after eating four courses, I'd feel stuffed. Yet I walked out of Sutra well-fed and light. Namaste! – Leslie Kelly, SeattlePI.com
- From the minute we were seated to the moment I rested my head on my pillow to say good night, it was true bliss. I can not put words to truly describe the taste sensations. You must go and trust that this will be the best meal you have eaten. – Gwen N., Yelp
