The dinner menu begins with gorgonzola fondue and housemade focaccia ($3.95) or five-spice calamari served with a trio of Asian-style sauces ($9.95). The avocado-crab BLT stacks a crab cake, applewood bacon, and avocado inside bread swiped with red-bell-pepper aioli ($10.95), and pecan chicken features Miller Family Farms chicken breast rolled in ground pecans, sautéed, and served with mustard-cream sauce and rice pilaf ($17.95). A selection of gluten-free options is also available, and the lunch menu is served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sweet Lorraine's Cafe & Bar wholeheartedly embraces a smattering of influences, apparent in everything from the menu to the music. Nearly 30 years ago, when Lorraine Platman swung open the doors of her namesake restaurant, she had already racked up several years of success in the cheesecake and baked goods businesses. Her familiarity with healthy, homemade food and her artistic inclination found their way to what she calls "world beat cuisine" at Sweet Lorraine's.
