The Tampa Ghost Watchers investigate paranormal occurrences throughout Florida and the United States in an effort to bring the world of the paranormal to a wider audience. Tours start with a 45-minute presentation to catch visitors up on the art of ghost investigation, including the best techniques and strategies for sussing out spooks. Utilizing a hair-raising photographic slide show, the seasoned hunters teach tourgoers how to recognize the ghosts, spirits, and D-list celebrities they might encounter aboard the American Victory. The presentation also includes interesting info on the haunted vessel itself, one of the few functional WWII victory ships still floating atop the waves instead of miles below them. After wrapping up the talks, guests get free reign of the ship, seeking out the paranormal with their trusty sidekicks and snack-loving semi-intelligible dogs, or learning more about the ship's storied history, supernatural and otherwise, from an on-hand American Victory Ship representative.
