The family-oriented Tanganyika Wildlife Park adds a hefty interactive element to the traditional zoo experience. Visitors are free to roam the grounds and spot snow leopards, walk with kangaroos, or feed such species as rainbow lorikeets, tortoises, and giraffes. Guests can hitch a ride atop a camel before catching up-close glimpses of such species as ring-tailed lemurs, a two-and-a-half-ton Indian rhinoceros, or any of the park's numerous babies, including a honey badger. The park is open daily May–August, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.; check the park website for fall hours. Children under 3 are admitted for free.

Though Tanganyika Wildlife Park features a discounted price for children and seniors, this Groupon still offers the best deal available.

Tanganyika Wildlife Park

The animal-loving owners of Tanganyika Wildlife Park know that in order to save endangered animals, humans must feel a strong connection to them. It is the park’s mission to foster this connection by putting visitors in close contact with its rare animals. Visitors can gaze at cheetahs and red pandas and feed reticulated giraffes and African spur-thighed tortoises, which are best known for their role in slow-motion Westerns. The park also safeguards endangered animals from extinction by breeding species such as clouded leopards and amur leopards.

The Groupon Guide to: Promised Technology

Since the technological leaps of the Space Age, scientists have promised us numerous exciting, life-altering inventions that have yet to materialize. Here's why we're still waiting on these must-have contraptions:

Jetpacks: Aeronautical engineers are still unable to design a personal flight thruster that doesn't also burn the pilot's legs clean off.

Hoverboards: Anyone can glue a bunch of magnets to a wooden plank and ride the Earth's magnetic field, but no one has yet to sell the public on its appeal by featuring it in a movie.

Personal-Size Microwave: That’s what they were really trying to make at Chernobyl.

Love-Matching Computer: Scientists unveiled what seemed to be a breakthrough last year, but the machine kept matching every woman with, "this one really smart, lonely scientist who's… RIGHT BEHIND YOU!"

Why aren’t lazy scientists solving the nation’s hoverboard crisis?
