The Deal

On April 12, runners gather at 2 p.m. to take on the beer-filled Tap 'N' Run 4K race. VIP registration grants participants access to the VIP starting waves with the coldest beers, three 5-ounce beers throughout the race, two 12-ounce beers at the finish line, finisher's medal that doubles as a bottle opener, race T-shirt, koozie, sunglasses, and entry to the after party.

Tap 'N' Run

Many marathons end with a celebratory beer, but the organizers of the Tap 'N' Run 4K don't see why participants should have to wait that long. At their races, runners hit the starting line swigging 5 ounces of beer and pass multiple chugging stations before crossing the finish line, where another round awaits them. Though one runner will ultimately cross the finish line first, this race is more about how you get there. Runners are encouraged to don zany costumes, competing for prestigious titles such as Best 'Stache—with real and fake categories—Most Unique Team Concept, and Shortest Shorts. They also award one courageous runner with the greatest honor of all—Best Belcher for the loudest and longest burp, with previous record holders including Margaret Thatcher.
