I rolled my eyes when I saw this, but the more I thought about it, the nicer it sounds! What could be better than walking the back bay or south boston tasting chocolate for a couple of hours! My wife is impossible to buy for, she’ll think this is a great gift!

Michelle A.

Although I am not in the position to do anything at this moment I am about to suggest it to several hundred people through email.
If she likes walking and she likes chocolate…Oh, and she likes you, then your right, it’s an awesome gift for one to receive. I like the Groupon ad with this one. You can tell them I said so :) And it get’s all weird at the end like my brain does. Don’t forget to tell us how it went.

Sloan C.

I’m doing the match on this.
Accoring to the ad it expires in one year.
Its a Saturday tour =52 times
with additional times = 10?
there are 2-14 people per tour.
694 people have signed up as of right now.
694/52= 13.3.
So these tours are 95% filled right now for the year and that number is growing fast.
This isn’t even counting the people that have scheduled tours outside of groupon.
I wanted to purchase this, but it’s not a smart move becasue the liklihood you will be able to schedule a convenient date is slim to none. Is the company planning on DOUBLING the number of tours they plan to give this year to remedy this problem for the people that have bought the groupon. (or people that would like to buy the groupon)?

Can anyone tell me if the tour locations are wheelchair accessable?

Thomas M.

I want this deal so bad, but are there going to be more tours added in the future? Also why did it say something about a segway but we are going to be walking. If I used a segway id but tons of these tickets!

Sloan C.

Huge fan of Groupon, such a big fan I should promote it, but they should shut this offer down till they get some answers from the company about how many more tours they are going to add and when.

Patrick L.

Hello Groupies -

Thomas and Sloan – There will be more tours added to the schedule. Probably a morning tour, and maybe some more days added. This Groupon is good for a year, so you will be able to get in on one of these tours, no problem.

Karen – I cannot specifically verify that each location is wheelchair accesible, but given the laws requiring accessibility, I imagine that they are.

Thanks everyone and Get Your Groupon!

I’m with Sloan on this one. This product seems WAY oversold, given the information on the company’s website. (Their website info is generally pretty vague, doesn’t tell you exactly where the tour goes or what is included.) I’d be hesitant to buy into this without knowing that there’s going to be actual availability and what venues will be included on the tour.

lynn c.

PLEASE NOTE: There are 2 TOURS PER SATURDAY, so they are NOT OVERSOLD.

Hello – David from Taste of Chocolate. We fully expected this and have a new site going up in a week or so, check out our FB page http://www.facebook.com/tasteofchocolate and we now have two tours, will be adding a Cambridge one on Sundays in January and a weekday tour as well.

Merchant

Karen, As for wheelchair access – it is a walking tour, through neighborhoods and although the stores are, I wouldn’t recommend it. If you do, Back Bay will be shorter than the South End tour.

Melissa T.

It sold out so quickly! Any chance this will be offered again between now and Christmas?

I hope not! Can you imagine how hard it’s going to be anyway to book a tour!

Andrew K.

Aww man! All of you who got the deal are lucky. =P I was hoping to pester some people into making this a Christmas present for me. Enjoy the chocolates.

Andrew – the workshop too would make a great gift and the truffles that you make can be “re-gifted”. All else fails, we do have full price tickets available :)

Kelsey H.

A girlfriend and I were planning on buying these together- I lucked out and got it, but it was all sold out before she had a chance. I do love chocolate, but really don’t want to do this alone. Is there any way for me to sell this to someone else? How would that work?

Hi Kelsey, I’d buy it if you get a way to transfer it.

on the main page you can change or cancel your purchase.
See if that does it for you.

Jennifer S.

I never got my email notification, and then it sold out!!???? >:-(

Mark W.

I’m wondering about how to regift it? I want to give these away as gifts but all i got were tickets with my name on all of them.

heidi g.

If anyone has an extra I need one. Goofed and only ordered 1, obviously don’t want to do tour alone.
Thanks,

I have one ticket that I will sell to someone for the price i purchased it at ($25). Please let me know if you are interested.

Patricia M.

Hi Tarrah: do you still have an extra ticket that you want to sell?

Hi Patricia, yes I do. You can e-mail me at tarrahll @ gmail
