The tandoor clay ovens at Taste of India are hard at work. They bake naan flatbread, roast yogurt-marinated chicken tikka, and heat house-made paneer cheese. Beyond the oven, chefs’ pans sizzle as tilapia marinated in lemon juice, ginger, and Indian spices fries, and tender chunks of lamb simmer in cashew sauce. The culinary team captures the flavors of India, serving the plates on white-draped tables beneath suspended lantern lights or tucked near the stone fireplace. In addition to traditional biryanis, seafood specialties, and all-halal meats, the chefs whip up a few Chinese-fusion dishes, including hot-and-sour soup and Szechwan fried rice. Diners looking to try as many dishes as possible can come for the lunch buffet or get married so Taste of India can cater the wedding.
