The gourmets at Taste unlock secrets to a sensitive palate with wines from Sand Castle Winery. Each 90-minute class journeys students through carefully paired wine-and-food combinations that are ideal for the holiday season. Pupils also receive a souvenir wineglass to commemorate their edibles-based education. Classes begin Sunday, October 21, and run until Tuesday, November 27, at the Warrington location and through Thursday, November 29, at the Phoenixville location. See the Phoenixville schedule and Warrington schedule for further information.

Taste

At Taste, the retail store for the storied Sand Castle Winery, rows of wooden racks display the winery's vintages alongside Di Bruno Bros. cheeses and gourmet oils and vinegars. Regular tastings and hands-on classes take place amid the store's marble countertops and vineyard-inspired artwork that is only detectable by oenophiles. During wine-pairing classes, students learn to coordinate nosh and nectar as experts present them with various combinations of wine and accenting fare, such as cheeses and fruits.

The Groupon Guide to: a Unique Wedding

Your wedding should be a reflection of every aspect of your personality and a definitive way to prove to your cousins that you are interesting. Here are some suggestions for making your wedding an original, spectacular, lovetastic journey:

  • Mason jars instead of champagne flutes

  • You're not the kind of person who would want a cake like everyone else's, so make the cake out of grilled steaks and have the frosting be mashed potatoes.

  • You won't want gifts, so just have a station where people can write short works of magical realist fiction about you and your fiancé.

  • Instead of a ring bearer, use a trained miniature horse. He hands out pamphlets about a charity working to save a rare breed of sparrows that are going extinct on Georgia farms.

  • Tables are boring, but piles of freshly cut firewood aren't.

  • Replace the guests with glass orbs full of water and rose petals. Replace your fiancé with a scarecrow made of your mom's vintage scarves.

Where is the best local farm to find a ring bearer?

Reviews

  • They have many traditional wines Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet, Riesling. In addition, they do some blends that are enjoyable.

  • They make a fantastic dry riesling (hard to come by) and their cabernet and pinot noir are also delicious.
