Tazito Burrito

The owners of Tazito Burrito introduce their culinary philosophy with a portmanteau—the name of their café fuses the Arabic word taza, meaning fresh, with the word burrito. In the kitchen, chef Eric and his team blend American, Mexican, and Mediterranean recipes with other global influences through the medium of the burrito. In addition to traditional Mexican chicken and steak burritos, they also wrap tortillas around the American-inspired barbecue burrito’s chicken and bacon, the Moroccan burrito's hummus and feta, and the Cuban burrito's ham, bacon, and thousand island dressing. Greek-influenced pico de gallo and salsa are made fresh in-house, and chips are fried each day before they’re buried in piles of steak, stir-fried veggies, or ground tortilla chips.
