$37 for An Introduction to Tea Enjoyment Class ($75 Value)

Before you can know how to prepare the perfect pot of tea, you need to know the tea itself. Over the course of 90 minutes, Tea Time's masters of leaf-libations teach students how to plumb the dizzyingly rich and rewarding depths of the steeped cup. Four different types of teas—white, green, oolong, and black—keeps most of your senses busy comparing their appearances, flavors, and aromas. The ears, meanwhile, will be learning each tea's origin, its health benefits, how much caffeine it contains, how it is processed, and how much tea hurts when poured into one's head. The class takes place at 7 p.m. every first and third Tuesday of the month. Students enjoy a 25% discount on all loose-leaf-tea purchases.

Tea Time

When they’re not blending imported leaves into 120 tea varieties, the tea gurus at Tea Time lead tasting classes that empower sippers to explore the 3,000-year-old beverage’s origins, aromas, and health benefits. The classes reflect Tea Time’s mission to make its tea room a welcoming community hub. In the shop’s “sniffing corner,” staff members help customers sift through 150 glass jars of tealeaves in search of their ideal blend. Free WiFi, bamboo tables, and a menu of French-style pastries and English-style sandwiches furnish tranquil afternoons, and a slew of teatime accessories line solid oak shelves.

The Groupon Guide to: Inspiration

Inspiration is everywhere, if you know where to look. What are some sure-fire ways to shatter writer's block and unleash the creative torrents within?

  • Observe natural phenomena, such as a rainbow or a sheep slipping in some mud.
  • Write down everything that happens in your favorite movie, but make it about … yourself?
  • Watch the free-flowing imaginations of two children crafting a complex pretend universe—this can inspire you to comment on what a waste of time it was.
  • Put on some jazz records and listen to the notes they're not playing. These inaudible notes aren't copyrighted, and they can be yours!
  • Drink a whole thing of coffee. Even if this makes things immeasurably worse, at least you technically finished something today.

Is inspiration real? As the top science poets believe, yes.
