At Tesoro, chef Ignazio Bonanni enlists fresh ingredients and the flavors of his Italian heritage to bring customers his very own culinary tesoro—which means “treasure” in Italian. Lightly battered calamari and caprese salads precede helpings of fettuccine in a ground-veal sauce, light and fluffy pillows of ravioli, and oven-fresh pizzas topped with everything from basil and mozzarella to sausage and pepperoni. Patrons dine elegantly on veal parmigiana and chicken marsala at one of the white-clothed tables in the spacious dining room, or slide onto a high-topped chair for a more casual meal at the bar. Tesoro also offers takeout, so patrons who get caught stealing their boss’s lunch can make amends by filling his or her office with 25 grilled steak paninis.
