A facial can cleanse your face of accumulated grime, pollution, and the nearly invisible arrows volleyed at you by your tiny enemies. Face them head on with this Groupon.

Choose from Three Options

  • $29 for two express facials (a $60 value)
  • $55 for four express facials (a $120 value)
  • $39 for one signature facial and a European back treatment (an $85 value)

While performing the express facial under the supervision of licensed staff, student aestheticians cleanse faces before applying a mask that seeps into the skin. After the mask is washed away, the aesthetician applies toner and finishes the treatment with a moisturizing lotion containing sunscreen.

During the signature facial, aestheticians build upon the express facial by offering a custom skin analysis, then use the results to tailor the rest of the facial. After he or she exfoliates the skin, she applies a custom mask while massaging facial muscles and performing extractions. They then applies toner to the skin, and the facial concludes with the application of sunscreen-based moisturizer. The European back treatment addresses acne-prone backs with exfoliation, a skin mask, and extractions, finishing with the application of toner and moisturizer.

The Academy

Though the student aestheticians performing the salon and spa treatments at The Academy are still learning their craft, their work demonstrates a keen understanding of it. Under the watchful eyes of licensed professionals, students can showcase their new skills with subtle coloring treatments, wrinkle-erasing glycolic and retinol facials, and precise waxing and sugaring treatments. They also perform haircuts, and when their clients get their salon and spa fix here, the budding stylists don’t have to practice coif work by cutting their parents’ hedges or mashed potatoes—and clients can avoid the high cost of regular salons to boot.
