$20 for $40 Worth of European and American Pub Food

The pub’s diverse menu offers breakfast such as corned-beef hash ($7.49) and a three-egg gaelic omelet with bacon and pork sausage ($7.49), as well as a lunch menu of toasted sandwiches ($8.49) and panko-crusted fish ‘n’ chips ($9.49). Dinner includes hearty burgers ($8.49+), flatbread pizzas ($6.49+), and traditional bangers and mash ($13.49).

The Banshee

In Irish folklore, a banshee is a harbinger of sorrow, emitting high-pitched wails to warn family members of an impending death. However, at The Banshee, the shrieks come instead from joyous fans as a Celtic F.C. striker fires a shot into the back of the net. Visit early in the morning or late at night to enjoy a full slate of European sports streaming live on 10 flat-screen TVs. Champions League soccer shares space with rugby, hurling, and extreme Highlands sunbathing, as well as NFL, NBA, and March Madness games.

Chefs whip up hearty traditional dishes including bangers and mash, fish 'n' chips, and seafood pie, pitting them against a reliably North American array of burgers and pizzas. When the final whistle blows, guests celebrate on the dance floor to live DJ music or sing a cathartic, mournful duet with the karaoke machine.

Reviews

The food is excellent. A nice combination of American and traditional Irish with some modern twists.

“I was a little uncomfortable when I first walked in with my family in tow. There was no receptionist or wait staff to greet us and we awkwardly paced the bar before the bar tender offered us some help. Once they did notice us, they were very nice and helpful. My biggest complaint was the portion sizes. Big on sides but not on the main entree. The flavor of the steak tips were okay but the meat portions were extremely small. (four medium to small size steak tips that were not much bigger than a chicken nugget) My husband was very disappointed in his steak and wished he gotten the fish. Prices were a little high for pub food and again especially given the portion sizes. ”

  • “Really nice surprise to "discover" this great place! Would wholeheartedly recommend.”
