A native of rural Lithuania, Laima Baikauskaite was named the USSR’s fastest runner in 1974. In 1988, she strutted her stuff at the Seoul summer games, taking home a silver medal in the 1,500-meter race. Soon after, she moved to the US where, inspired by the expert massages she and her fellow top-tier athletes enjoyed, she opened The Body Work & Massage Source.

Today, Laima calls upon her firsthand understanding of massage's impact, as well as the love of nature she cultivated as a child. She uses natural products in her treatments and adorns her practice with plants that remind her of her rural upbringing. Inside this outdoors-inspired oasis, visitors bask in facials, massages, and body wraps, which they can schedule online.
