During the roughly 60- to 90-minute cleanings, technicians precondition carpets and dissolve and absorb dirt and soils using a process called green cleaning, which involves the use of an oscillating pad. This emits no pollution from the equipment, uses less fuel and water, and fewer, albeit safe, chemicals. Carpets are usually dry in 30–60 minutes.

The technicians that make up the Burns Clean Team are licensed and insured to scour carpets and upholstery with eco-friendly, nontoxic cleaners as well as a state-of-the-art hot-water-extraction system. Their truck-mounted Vortex unit heats water to upwards of 300 degrees, helping them steam away dirt with minimal drying time and no residue. The team’s supplemental services range from water-damage repair to expert bedbug remediation; clients may also solicit owner Paul Craig's master cleaning know-how to lift grime from stone floors and eliminate muddy footprints from the ceiling.
