  • $78 for a beer-making class for two, plus 10% off beer making supplies ($171.90 value)

Up to 26 burgeoning brewmasters join a veteran beer maker in a laboratory for an extensive lesson about ingredients and flavors as the group manufactures their very own beverages. Once instructors detail the difference between extract and grain styles of brewing, they introduce the extract recipe. They unpack the recipe ingredient by ingredient, laying out every important minutia from the quality of the water to selecting between pellet and flower hops. As fermentation finishes, the class goes over proper cleaning and maintenance of all equipment used, as well as how to bottle the beverage for long-term storage or to serve to the thirsty crews on model ships.

The Cellar Homebrew

Though microbrewers celebrate limited flavor runs and regional ingredients, they still need much of the same equipment as the big brewers to concoct their craft beers. That's where The Cellar Homebrew comes in, outfitting winemakers, brewers, and cidersmiths with the equipment and ingredients needed to make their drinks. The store's owners––who boast more than 30 years of experience and a past line of fine wines––collect organic ingredients such as hops and yeast and sell them alongside fermentation equipment, keg systems, and cleaning supplies. They even offer on-location classes to instruct people in the basics of beer brewing. In addition to supplying items for alcoholic beverages, they also hawk basic supplies for cheese-, soda-, and vinegar-making, all of which go well over lettuce.

The Groupon Guide to: Fairy Tales

The Brothers Grimm were German storytellers known for their fanciful—and sometimes gruesome—collection of household tales. For centuries their stories have entertained children and taught everyone about the dangers of eating a pudding that isn't yours. Here are the titles of some of the Grimms' most-loved works:

  • "The Pretty Lady and the Animate Puddle"
  • "Genevieve Horsehair"
  • "The Ape and the Unwashed Fruit"
  • "The Boy Who Learned to Live in Terror"
  • "The Girl in Asphalt Shoes"
  • "Young Thorple, the Baby Who Chased Away Time"
  • "The Elderly Trumpeter Who Was Utterly Alone"
  • "Great Verns and His Merry Lute"
  • "The 20 Siblings Who Murdered Death"
  • "The Donkey Who Led His Owner into a Hole"
  • "King Gilder and the Grand Grave"

Could eating someone else's pudding cause you to suffer a tragic downfall?
