Questions and Answers

I just want to be sure I clearly understand this Groupon. I have bunch of VHS-C tapes that I would like to transfer. According to what I read I should be able to get 9 of them transferred with this Groupon (9x$10.40=$93.60). Is that an accurate assumption?

Dan G. asked 6 months, 4 days, 1 hour, and 49 minutes ago - 1 answer

Eugene G.

Hi Dan, The Groupon cannot be applied with other offers. The $10.50/tape price is the discounted 30% off. You can transfer 6 tapes @ $15.00/tape using the Groupon and then all subsequent tapes will be at $10.50.

Hi, I wanted to know if yourvoffer is good for super 8 films? Do you do the film work on your premises ? Thanks, Barbara

Can you tell me approximately how many VHS tapes I can have transferred for the $40.00 Groupon. Does it matter if they are 2 hours or 4 hour VHS tapes? Thanks!!

Lisa S. asked 6 months, 4 days, 6 hours, and 53 minutes ago - 1 answer

Eugene G.

Hi Lisa, Great question! The Groupon covers 5 2 hour VHS tapes, or 2 4 hour tapes and 1 2hr tape. Thanks!

Can I have VHS and Cam tapes put on a thumb drive?

Trena Y. asked 6 months, 4 days, 7 hours, and 49 minutes ago - 1 answer

Eugene G.

Hi Trena, Great question. We encourage transferring all tapes and other media to a external hard drive for the highest quality output and ability to view and edit on a computer. A thumb drive is generally too small and we generally require a portable/external hard drive for output. Thanks.

I don't have a VCR but I have several VCR tapes that I would like to transfer to DVD. Do you have a VCR so that I could view the tapes I want to transfer?

Kevin S. asked 6 months, 4 days, 7 hours, and 53 minutes ago - 1 answer

Eugene G.

Hi Kevin, We do offer a preview service for $30 per half hour with a half hour minimum. The Groupon would cover the transfer of the VHS tapes to DVD but not the preview service.

Eugene G. answered 6 months, 4 days, 7 hours, and 16 minutes ago

Good morning. I see prices per transfer but I am not clear on what the output is and if the output media is included in the price. So if the cost to transfer a MiniDV or VHS-C is $10.50/Tape and a Video8 or Hi8 is $14/Tape, is that the total cost? I don't understand the reference to "Output to DVD is an additional $19.99/Disc." thanks

sw asked 6 months, 4 days, 8 hours, and 4 minutes ago - 1 answer

Eugene G.

Good morning. The total price to transfer a videotape is $10.50/tape for MiniDV or VHS-C and $14/tape for Video8/Hi8 and VHS. The price includes output to DVD for this service. The $19.99 "Output to DVD" is in reference to 8mm/super8/16mm film transfers. Thanks.

Eugene G. answered 6 months, 4 days, 7 hours, and 18 minutes ago

Does this apply to super 16mm film transfers?

Matt P. asked 6 months, 4 days, 8 hours, and 31 minutes ago - 1 answer

Eugene G.

Hi Matt, We do work with super 16mm film, however this Groupon does not cover this service. Please contact us for more detailed information at info@filmtransfer.com or calling 847-272-8207.

Do you work with slides also? And, can you transfer to CD rather than DVD or Bluray?

Erica R. asked 6 months, 4 days, 8 hours, and 47 minutes ago - 1 answer

Eugene G.

Hi Erica, Yes, we can transfer slides to CD rather than DVD or Blu-ray.
