Choose Between Two Options

Patrons shed pounds the military way with intense, high-energy group workouts modeled off U.S. Marine Corps training. Nominated by the Long Island Press for Best Local Bootcamp of 2011, the workouts center around an indoor obstacle course with a tire wall and climbing ropes. In addition to building strength with pushups and sit-ups, each one-hour session increases cardiovascular endurance. See the class schedule.

The Fitness Loft

Under the direction of Cynthia Conde, gym founder and lead trainer on VH1's Bridal Bootcamp, The Fitness Loft's expert instructors offer classes that tone muscle, build stamina, and burn fat. The sprawling Fitness Loft—which features an indoor obstacle course—teems with activity, from camo-clad students scaling a wall of tires during indoor boot camps to a professional circus aerialist tumbling on free-flowing silks affixed to the towering ceiling during aerial-silk classes. Beneath the mélange of dangling gymnastic rings and resistance straps, students work with the expert instructors to figure out the right routines for their goals and fitness levels. They can work specific muscle groups on the cardio and strength-training machines, or swing Russian-style kettlebells. They can also participate in hot yoga classes, CrossFit, MMA Fit classes, and Latin-inspired Zumba dance classes.
