Races are a great way to compete and get healthy, especially when you are racing to a warehouse full of tofu. Last one to this Groupon is a rotten egg.

$38 for 5K Entry with Super Glo Package ($76 Value)

The 5K starts at 8:55 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, following a lakeshore-hugging route replete with black lights and music. Beforehand, racers pick up their race packets from Fleet Feet Sports Old Town; afterwards, at 9:15 p.m., a DJ begins to spin at the finish line, kicking off the after party, which also features a 10:15 p.m. costume contest. The Super Glo package includes a fluorescent Glo logo t-shirt, six pieces of glow-in-the-dark swag, and light-up sunglasses. For more details, see the race page, the info page and the course map.

The Glo Run

The Glo Run’s 5K fun run event always takes place at night, but it doesn’t seem like it. The course is lined with black lights and lasers, and runners sport glow-in-the-dark gear from t-shirts to sunglasses. On-course DJs add to the festivities, blasting tunes as the untimed participants run, walk, or dance to the finish line. Even more DJs await them there at the glow-in-the-dark after party, which lights up the night better than a raccoon that's swallowed a flashlight.
