I’m assuming by ‘services’ this would include a haircut
Hello – just wondering can you buy more than one groupon deal and combine them to use in one session for multiple services. I would like to buy 3 to cover the cost of a shave and massage for a father’s day gift. Thanks!
Seriously? New customers only? How about old customers who haven’t gone in over a year?
Yea, it’s pretty ridiculous that this is only for new customers. I’m going to call them to verify.
I just spoke with GL, and you can not use this for a haircut, just spa.
Is the shave considered under this?
Thanks Mike. Would love to hear what you find out.
Just talked to the one of L Street. They said it is indeed for new customers, but that they would also honor it for returning customers. I’ll probably go ahead and purchase it, and hope that the guy one the phone wasn’t feeding me BS.
I just called the one in Tysons and they said that it is indeed ONLY for new customers and only covers spa services- so nothing under haircuts or shaves.
Can this Groupon be applied toward a gift card?
The L Street location confirms that this is for new customers only.
I would avoid getting a massage there! Both a friend and I had them and they were more like feeble rubs than a massage. However, I have had the GL signature facial several times and loved every minute of it. Just wish I were allowed to buy the groupon and go back… :(
That sucks! This is one of the lousiest Groupon deals I have seen. That aside, Regina at the L St location gives a very deep and strong sports massage — not feeble at all.

Talk about getting my hopes up at first … only to dash them with the stupid “New customers only” caveat. Poo on GL and Groupon!
Question: Fine print says, Limit 1 per person. Does that mean 1 per person who is receiving the service or 1 per person who is purchasing the offer. Not clear. thanks,
What is a a quick-fix facial? I did not see a description on their website for this option.
Can someone from Groupon clarify whether this can be used for shave and haircut services? When you click on the “spa services” link in the description, you get the entire service menu, which would imply that everything in it is included, since the menu doesn’t explicitly distinguish between spa services and non-spa services. If it doesn’t include haircuts and shaves, the description should be revised.
To Groupon from Cristina d: Please disregard my two questions.
I found the quick fix facial description on the link of spa services that opens the pdf file, not the website.
Tried to purchase two gifts to answer my own question re: the fine print on LIMIT 1 per person becauase I noticed you are not responding to any questions, and the system does not allow to change the quantity. Too bad. Would have made a great Father’s Day gift for a father and son. Oh well.
Hope my post helps others.
I just canceled my purchase as I was not aware of the “new” customer only rule. I guess that’s why it’s called fine print! I’m curious what would happen if someone bought it as a gift for me, would they be out the money and I couldn’t use it?

Groupies- Sorry for the delay in response, was in a meeting. I am here now to answer any and all questions.
We do appreciate all of the feedback that we receive, both positive and negative. We try to get a good range of businesses that cover our wide subscriber base. Unfortunately it is impossible to please every person with every deal.
Obviously the goal is to get the best businesses to be featured on Groupon and to give the people of DC new fun things to do and great places to eat.
This deal today is for the following :Any Single Spa Service (massage, facial, manicure, foot treatment, wax)
The fine print states that this is limit one per person and new customers only. This is up to the business.
Groupons can never be stacked up to be used towards an offer. Which is why we also put in the fine print- Not valid with other offers. This Groupon may not be used towards gift cards.

Many times Groupons for service locations can be purchased in multiples so that you can use them for higher cost services with the caveat that all have to be used at the same time.
Places like this that offer services usually do it for new customers only. This isn’t a new thing. This is far from the worst groupon ever – that would probably be the A&I books groupon that couldn’t be used for different photo books, just multiple copies of the same one. Or any that aren’t accepted when you show up!
I would never have imagined that the hot lather shave would not be considered a spa service. I saw that someone else mentioned canceling their Groupon. I would like to do that too, but cannot figure out how. Is it possible? Thanks!
I stand by my comment. No slight to Groupon — it is a slight to GL.
Can this be used in combination with a gift card?
Nevermind — I called. The groupon cannot be combined with a gift card.
I just purchased today’s Groupon deal. I fully understand the fine print, but I have a question. The deal does not allow the Groupon to be used towards gift cards; however, I purchased it as a Father’s Day gift for my husband and I don’t want to give him the print-out email (seems a little tacky to me). Will GL provide a gift card in exchange but still to be used under the same restrictions?

Lauren- All you have to do is go to your Groupons and edit/cancel your purchase.

I see my question has already been asked, but I don’t see where it has been answered. I want to buy this as a gift, but the occasion for which I would give it is not until later in the month. Would the confirmation be sent to me, or, if sent to the gift recipient, could it be delayed until closer to the event for which the gift would be given?
I would like to know how long the foot massage and facial lasts. I just tried to call but I think they’re closed by now.
Groupon- It seems as though there’s a pretty big demand for a similar deal on hot lather shaves / haircuts. I know I’d buy one if the same deal was made available. I know you can’t change the current deal but it’s a good idea for the near future :).

Anna C- If you don’t want it to be sent to you, you can give as a gift and it will be sent to the gift recipient. There is no way for us to delay this. You would just have to have it sent to you.
Cindy L- The GL Signature facial is an hour and fifteen minutes. I am not sure about the time frame for the foot massage. havehttp://www.groominglounge.com/dcstoreservices.html
Christine M- Thank you for your feedback. When we ran Grooming Lounge the last time we did offer hair cuts and shaves. This time around we wanted to switch it up.

I wish the groupon/ company had emphasized MORE on scheduling the appointment ahead of time. I overlooked that the deal requires advance scheduling and it looks like the deal expires today with evrything booked. A lesson learned.

Hi, two questions, 1) does the “new customer” requirement mean that you have to be a new customer to the grooming salon or just to the location? 2) can the $50 be used towards products or just services? Thanks
