The Hair Bar

Owner Gina Ginsburg—a jet pilot and entrepreneur—pioneered the in-home blowout with a select roster of clients. Her clientele mushroomed, so she opened The Hair Bar that, much like the Michelin man’s dream board, is dedicated to blowouts and glo makeup applications. Armed with paraben-free Kevin Murphy and MoroccanOil products, Gina and her stylists fan hair into one of six styles, from straight and sleek 'dos to loose beach waves and soft curls. The service menu also includes whimsical extensions, which upgrade locks with everything from human hair to tinsel, and blowout add-ons, such as scalp massages or MoroccanOil hydrating masks with aromatherapy.

Gina stays true to the shop’s roots by occasionally dispatching stylists to perform blowouts at homes, but the bright, spacious space offers a welcoming alternative. Accents in the form of fresh flowers and end tables pop against a backdrop of dazzling white walls and marble counters where guests can while away appointments watching romantic comedies on flat screens, playing Angry Birds on the salon’s iPads, and drinking complimentary wine, champagne, or mimosas. The simple yet chic space sets the stage for parties complete with drinks, brunch blowouts, and The Hair Bar’s signature service.
